Implementation Guidelines
Initiative Timeline:
The initiative will be officially launched during the second week of the 2018 academic year and will continue until the end according to the following stages:
First Stage:
After giving the starting signal, the schools will initiate the activities of the initiative with the student as shown below:
First and second grades of basic education
The school administration instructs moral education teachers to:
-
Plan a one-class activity on future aspirations of the student with a focus on the concepts of identity and dream. To answer the question: What do you want to be in the future?
-
Ensure that each student gets his chance to express his future dream to his peers and to his teacher
-
Ensure that the expression is done through a drawing or a picture or posters or through simple words that students proficiently write
-
The products are hung with the student's name, grade and date in a clear corner of the class
-
Ensure that all works are documented and saved in paper and electronic formats (photos)
Grades Three to Twelve:
-
This first phase of the initiative is limited to the writing activity only, where a digital model of the "National Pact" will be used
-
The school administration needs to make the necessary arrangements to complete the writing activity electronically using the computer or digital tablets
-
The school administration instructs moral education teachers to prepare an activity class on the initiative, entitled "The National Pact", to be centred on the personality and characteristics of the Emirati student as described by the UAE Centennial 2071
-
In order to present the idea, teachers in the planning of the activity use the objectives of the initiative and the above-mentioned basis in line with the needs of the age groups they teach
-
The idea of each Pact must be linked to the concepts of citizenship and homeland, loyalty to it, and promise and the future
-
By the end of the activity each student would have written his own Pact
-
Each student pact is saved
