Shift to Distance Learning at Higher Education Institutions Until May 8

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) has announced a temporary shift to distance learning across all UAE-based higher education institutions, effective from Tuesday 5 May to Friday 8 May 2026.

Priority academic programmes requiring clinical training, laboratory work, hands-on practical or field application, or on-campus exams are exempt and will continue with in-person learning, in accordance with MoHESR’s directions.

This measure supports the continued, flexible delivery of education. Any updates will be communicated through the Ministry’s official channels.
